曾是受各種符號摧殘的數學系學生。平常習慣在各種文本中提煉、梳理出更抽象的概念。他關注的是任何能引發意識高度集中的外在行為或刺激，概念上不限於任何感官，也不涵蓋具有神秘學色彩的範疇。透過觸發其意識的自我對話，直接或間接的使用了非語言性的方式呈現其自身的狀態，他的行為可視為一種向內的探尋，創作的本體即是對話的過程。

Yi-Chun Shen’s works can be regarded as a proof, or a experiment. He is now a noise/ free improvisation player based in Taipei, focusing on any possibility of communication with others, especially in non-linguistic way. In the performance, he first construct a feedback loop as a background, which represent a a self-talk system, and then try to respond or interrupt. Recently, he also try to play with some free improvisation or experimental musicians in Taiwan.
